The Veil Nebula (Cygnus Loop)

The Veil Nebula is a supernova remnant, located around 2500 light years from Earth. Its source star exploded approximately 20 000 years ago. Due to its size, several areas are recognized: The Western Veil (including The Wich's Broom, NGC6960), The Eastern Veil (around NGC 6992) and Pickering's Triangle.
