NGC 4725 is a barred spiral galaxy with a prominent ring structure, located near the north galactic pole. It is located ~40 million light years from Earth, and strongly interacting with its neighbour, NGC 4747. A tidal plume extends from NGC 4747 toward NGC 4725.
