Cocoon Galaxy (NGC 4490)

Cocoon Galaxy and its smaller partner NGC 4485 are the closest interacting galactic system, located around 25 million light years from Earth. They are moving away from eachother, connected by a 25,000 light years long stellar stream, made of bright knots and large gas rich pockets forming young stars.
